Airsoft (Fujinon 35mm f/2)

The following photos were all taken on the Fujifilm 35mm f/2 lens.

The following images were all shoot using a the Fujinon 35mm f/2 lens
The lens is as sharp as what we have come to expect from all of the Fujinon prime lenses (meaning it is AMAZING) even sharper than the XF 35mm f/1.4. But where this lens really shines, is in its focusing, compared to the f/1.4,the f/2 is a like a little hobbit on steroids, it's sneaky, quiet and locked on so quickly that the first few times I used it, I thought I had left the camera on manual focus because I couldn't hear the lens searching. I can't stress enough how much of an improvement this is over the the 35mm f/1.4.

Compared to the Fujinon 35mm f1/4, the f/2 is a little smaller, but the first thing I noticed was actually the lens hood / lens cap combo. The lens hood is a screw-on hood right onto the filter thread, and as far as hoods go, is pretty minimal. The lens cap on the other hand, is fantastic. This might sound like an odd thing to feel so excited about, but my only peeve with the 35mm f/1.4 lens, is trying to get the lens cap back on with its tight little lens hood. For those who also have this frustration, let me reassure you, all is well and good with the 35mm f/2 lens cap.

Finally, for roughly $200NZD (cheaper than the Fujinon 35mm f/1.4) plus the added bonus of weather sealing, this works out as maybe one of the best active portrait lens Fujifilm currently have to offer... that and the 23mm...plus the 56mm... oh and the new 90mm is meant to be amazing...
